Air Flow Monitor
Available from Hampshire Controls Corp.
The air flow monitor-alarm, is a single probe instrument used for detecting mass air flow in air ducts. It automatically warns of an air flow deviance that falls below a calibrated set point value.
In-use, a single, 5/16" diameter probe is directly inserted into the air flow. A set point is established at normal air flow just above the desired alarm threshold. If the air flow rate drops to the set point, a yellow indicator light becomes visible. If the air flow remains below the established set point for more than approximately 10 seconds, a red status indicator light begins flashing, and an audible alarm sounds. The probe used is rapid and repeatable.
Nominal flow ranges that can be used are 50-500 (low range) and 500-2500 fpm (high range).
The standard unit is wall-mounted and approximately 5"wide x 4.25"high x 1.75" deep. A small plug-in power supply is used to operate the unit. The weight is 2 pounds.
