Jenfitch, LLC Announces JC 9450 Liquid Ozone has been NSF Approved
Walnut Creek, CA –February 29, 2016- Jenfitch, LLC received National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) approval to use JC 9450 Liquid ROS in potable water systems as a disinfectant. JC 9450 Liquid ROS is a new type of disinfectant developed for the 21 st Century that chemically reacts in water to generate reactive oxygen ions (ozone (singlet oxygen, hydroxyl ion, superanions and others) in solutions. For the first time, the water treatment industry has a low cost method to generate reactive oxygen ions. Gail E.F. JC 9450 acts like ozone to prevent and control Legionnaire’s Disease (legionella), biofilm and anaerobic bacteria from forming. In open recirculating water systems, biofilms forms on the surface of walls and pipes by using a sugary molecular strand called extracellular polymeric substances (EPS). Microorganisms use EPS as a platform to establish colonies that can grow to various dimensions. The thickness of the colonies creates an insulation that influences the heat transfer rates. Legionnaire (legionella) bacteria use this biofilm as the foundation for its generation. Ozone in several studies has demonstrated the ability to destroy the biofilm instantaneously, and in all instances will help control scale deposits at ORP ranges as low as + 200 mV. Instead of having to monitor and treat the discharge of chlorine in cooling systems, by using JC 9450 only two by-products are discharged: 1) oxygen and 2) water. Which makes JC 9450, not only cost effective, but an environmentally friendly product.
