CETCI Introduces the LPT-A Analog Transmitter

Press Release from Critical Environment Technologies Canada Inc.

April 30, 2014

The LPT-A is a single sensor, analog gas detection transmitter that sports an internal (toxic or Oxygen) or remote (combustible or refrigerant) sensor for a wide range of toxic gases (electrochemical sensors), oxygen (electrochemical), common refrigerants (solid state sensors), TVOCs (solid state sensor), and combustible gases (catalytic sensors). The LPT-A is ideal for small applications, offering flexibility in sensor placement and a visual confirmation of air quality conditions prior to entry into the area being monitored. It features three-wire VDC or four-wire VAC power,  jumper selectable 4 - 20 mA or 0 - 10 VDC analog output, one standard dry contact relay (2 amps @ 30 V SPDT), an automatic thermal resetting fuse, temperature compensation, graphic LCD display, visual and audible alarm, and fault conditions. The LPT-A transmitter operates by diffusion and the sensors utilized in this device are sufficiently accurate to measure to Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) hazardous levels for toxic gases.

The LPT-A is the second addition to the LPT Family of Transmitters. The first, the LPT Low Power Transmitter is similarly an economical, single sensor analog transmitter. Conversely, it is available with either a carbon monoxide (CO) or nitrogen dioxide (NO 2 ) sensor which is ideal for vehicle exhaust type applications such as parkades. The LPT features a two-wire loop power, three-wire VDC or four-wire VAC power, 4 – 20 mA linear output signal, automatic thermal resetting fuse, temperature compensation, and visual LED indication for power and fault conditions, all in a RoHS compliant package.

Both the LPT and the LPT-A conform to CSA C22.2 No.205-M1983 (R2009), UL508 (Edition 17):2007 and CE EMC-EN 50270:2006 standards.

Look for more additions to the LPT Family of Transmitters in the near future – including the LPT-W Digital Wireless Transmitter, LPT-M Digital Modbus Transmitter, LPT-B Digital BACnet ® Transmitter and the LPT-H Digital Hybrid Transmitter.
